What an amazing place. Looking from the outside, you think how much can be in such a small space? Well after 2.5 hours of wandering through the exhibits, I can tell you there is plenty to see. I have always thought Arab = Muslim, but I learned Arabs are also Christian and Jewish. If you are ever in Dearborn, MI, I would recommend a visit.
I'm always amazed at how much I learn when I visit this museum! Just being reminded America is built on the people who immigrated here is powerful. It can't be separated from our American fiber! It's a good dose of truth.
I learned a lot about the first Arab Immigrants to the USA.
Such a fun place to visit! Its a great place to learn about Arab and Arab American culture. I would definitely recommend!
Went with my 8 year old son. As an Arab American I was happy to take my son to a museum that represents him and his background. We go to a lot of museums that represent other cultures and backgrounds and it was nice to go to one that we can relate to.
The staff here are helpful, kind and answer any questions. This place has a good feel.
Very awesome place. My siblings and I really learned a lot. If you do have young children with you, don't go to the basement. The exhibit there talks about discrimination and the imagery is a good representation but not appropriate for children under 12.
